Sparkman Pearl Sauvignon Blanc
2020 was a weird year of course, but we are stoked to announce that it was freaking spectacular vintage in our vineyards. Amazing concentration, richness of flavor and we’re just beginning to understand how fine the wines are. Our 2020 Pearl Sauvignon Blanc is bright and expressive, leading with a nose of Meyer lemon, fresh herbs and minerals, followed by zippy lime, guava and stone fruit. Its purity and balance suggest it might just be the best version we’ve ever made. Just sayin’.
Food Pairing: Anything from the ocean, but oysters for sure. Shigokus and kushis are the best.
Movie Pairing: The Wizard of Oz
Pearl was Kelly’s first solo wine project, spawned in 2009 from her love of New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. Pearl was named in honor of Kelly’s great grandmother who drove around in a pearl Cadillac convertible and drank Tennessee whiskey. The style is both mineral and fruit driven, like if Sancerre and New Zealand made a Sauvignon Blanc baby.
